COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The Western/English Horsemanship 300-Level Course is designed
for the advanced level rider who has mastered the 100 and 200 Level Skills
and thus builds on those skills. The successful completion of the 200 level
class is required prior to taking the 300 level class. The instructor tries
to match each students abilities with a specific horse while keeping in
mind everyone's safety is of the highest concern. All classes are conducted
at Sanderson Stables, Corner of Union and Washington Streets in
Cygnet, Ohio 43413; 419-655-2253. Sanderson Stables owns and maintains
horses, tack, and grounds specifically for appropriate instruction. This
Course can also be taken as may times as the student desires. Note: Credit courses begin the end of August, end of February, and Summer Sessions. Non-credit sessions or courses can match the credit times if desired or on the customers schedule. Please contact us for any registration or scheduling questions. We operate flexible schedules. The text will be optional and will be

C. Sign Registration and waiver forms
D. Students sign up for class times
F. Discuss bad weather/calling people, etc.
G. Arrange car pools, directions to the Stables, question and answer
session.
First Barn Meet
A. Take attendance-Sign In
B. Barn tour and rules
C. Tack room procedures
D. Refresh safety, grooming, and tacking up
E. Assign Student to appropriate horse
F. Getting use to your horse and refreshing your riding skills
G. Untacking the horse
Second Barn Meet
A. Take attendance - Sign In
B. Prepare your horse for riding
C. Tack up
D. Make sure everyone has the appropriate horse and skills
E. Prepare for trail riding!

Third Barn Meet
A. Take attendance- Sign In
B. Tack up
C. Ride in arena to get the feel of your horses mood
D. Go to the field for trail riding
E. Untack
Fourth Barn Meet
A. Take attendance- Sign In
B. Tack up
C. Ride in arena to get the feel of your horses mood
D. Trot, and lope when rider has complete control
E. Go over general horse information, and answer any questions
F. Go over to the field for trail riding

D. Work on walking, trotting, and lopping with complete control
